Released in 1973, The Dark Side of the Moon was intended as a concept album exploring many of the ideas Pink Floyd had experimented with during live performances and earlier recordings. An immediate success the album remained in the Billboard charts until 1988, longer than any other album in history. Having sold 45 million copies it became Pink Floyd’s most commercially successful work and one of the all time best selling albums world wide. It is considered by many one of the greatest rock albums ever made.

If you caught Bargain Outlet‘s last article covering a new book by former SEAL Team 6 member Howard Wasdin then you might be interested in this next bit of breaking video game news.
What will probably amount to the biggest and most anticipated game release of 2011, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
With not too much known about the game at this time rumor has it that in addition to the key characters from earlier installments the single player campaign will have you playing in multiple roles. Everything from an AC-130 gunner, a tank gunner, Delta Force and SAS operatives to a Russian Federal Protective Services agent. Look for about 15 missions to kick butt in starting with an invasion of Manhattan by the Russians and concluding with an explosive ending in Dubai.
Finally don’t forget the best part of Call of Duty games, the multiplayer mode. At this time we are hearing there will be as many as 20 multiplayer maps in addition to a combination of mission based and survival special ops modes. Supposedly there will also be a special post-credits level featuring the burning down of Washington DC. Sounds like another block buster to me.

With the demise of Osama bin Laden in the news it seems like SEAL Team 6 has all of a sudden become a household word. The top secret (well not any more) black-ops arm of the Navy SEALs has had quite a bit of press following its secret mission to rid the world of UBL. These commandos are known as Tier-1 operators considered to be the elite of the already elite special forces their ranks come from. So who can blame anyone for being curious about this rare breed. They are as close to the Hollywood movie action heroes as it gets. All of us average Joe’s want to know what makes them tick, what it’s like to be so bad ass, what kind of training they undergo and how they make the cut for something so selective?
Coincidentally a retired SEAL Team 6 guy by the name of Howard Wasdin just so happened to be writing a book about these things. Titled SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper
This is the first time a book has been written specifically about this elite force. Wasdin covers everything from the inhuman selection process and the non-stop training regiment to the Battle of Mogadishu where he nearly lost both of his legs. This is one of those books that once you get started don’t expect to get anything else done for the rest of the day. It’s not that often that non-fiction reads so much like fiction. Rambo would be proud to know this guy for sure.
